Downtown Dubai is gearing up for a super show this New Year, with a massive fireworks and laser show in 2021. The grand New Year’s Eve gala, for which Dubai is known and loved, will again be held this year in center. Dubai and will be broadcast live globally.

It will also be streamed live on mydubainewyear.com, for those unable to attend the show. Coverage will begin at 8.30pm. local time, so be sure to tune in from anywhere in the world. Strict health and safety measures will be in place and the measures will be in line with Dubai government guidelines and directives. Black Palace Beach
For a different perspective on the Burj Al Arab New Year’s firework display and fewer crowds, head to Black Palace Beach. Located behind Al Sufouh Park, the beach offers great views of the exhibit and you can also see the Atlantis fireworks. Two spectacular shows on an uncrowded beach? It should be a New Year’s Eve milestone.

Kite Beach
This long stretch of beach is particularly popular with families, as it’s casual, relaxed, and most importantly, it’s free. It is one of the best places to relax and witness the return of the fantastic Burj Al Arab fireworks display. It can get very crowded, so make sure you follow social distancing guidelines and wear a mask. Pack a picnic and a blanket and that’s it.

Souk Al Bahar and The Dubai Mall
Get ready to celebrate the arrival of 2021 in spectacular style with the confirmation of the famous New Year’s fireworks display at the Burj Khalifa. If you want to see live fireworks, head to one of the many restaurants at Dubai Mall or Souk Al Bahar, but be prepared to splash around.

Souk Madinat Jumeirah
Expect the stretch of beach along Jumeirah to fill up with your awesome New Year’s Eve fireworks display when the clock strikes midnight, and there are plenty of places you can grab a front row seat. There are many restaurants in Souk Madinat Jumeirah that will offer a New Year’s Eve menu; our best option is Nick & Scott’s Folly.

Palm fireworks

If your budget doesn’t extend to a massive dinner, take a stroll along these 11km along La Palma’s crescent as the fireworks go down. If you head to the west side, you will also see the Burj Al Arab fireworks.

The Pointe
This food destination runs along The Palm’s waterfront opposite Atlantis The Palm and there are sure to be some great spots this New Year, from The Palm Fountain or Atlantis The Palm (times / venue to be defined, stay close to timeoutdubai.com).
